The IQAir Multigas units can be used in residential, commercial and medical environments. Every day, each of us is exposed to thousands of substances that we eat, touch or breathe. MCS or Multiple Chemical Sensitivity can occur when an individual experiences symptoms during an exposure to the chemical composition of these everyday substances, such as joint pain, muscle pain, headache, fatigue, flushing and nausea; just to name a very few. Repeated exposure to these chemicals and their chemical composition in small insidious doses or one large dose (exposure) can cause progressive tissue inflammation and can become chronic when the chemical exposure finally leads to tissue damage such as nerve damage, organ damage and auto immune damage. The IQAir GC Multigas units are designed specifically for those individuals who have become sensitized to every day substances and who experience the symptoms of MCS. Gas Cartridge Technology The IQAir GC series uses four filter cartridges that hold up to 12 lbs. (5.4 kg) of gas phase media. The cylindrical shape of these cartridges allows for optimum contact between the air and gas phase media, which ensure high removal efficiencies. The large surface area of the cartridges enables high flow rates. High-Efficiency Particulate Filtration The particulate filtration in GC units complements the gaseous filtration process by removing over 97% of particles before they can reach the gas phase media. This increases the efficiency and life of the medial by preventing its pores from clogging. The GC units’ overall filtration efficiency for particles is 97% at 0.3 microns. Advanced Controls The IQAir control panel allows you to select from five fan speed settings. A two line LCD displays the corresponding air delivery rate at each speed setting. A sophisticated filter life monitoring system calculates the remaining life of each individual filter. An integrated timer lets you program the unit for automatic operation. For added convenience, the GC unit also comes with a remote control.
