:. Allergies: Last fortnight, I had a chance to discuss about allergies according to ayurveda. There are hundreds of allergens identified by modern science. to treat each allergen by a separate medicine is not practical.. The best treatment of allergy (respiratory allergy, skin allergy or others) is to promote immunity. Several immuno-promoters are well known in practice, e.g. amlaki fruit, pippali, basil, triphala, turmeric. These are well known antioxidants, immuno-boosters. To treat different allergic conditions, here are few suggestions: For Hey fever: a simple nasal drops of luke warm ghee (nasya) is the best. For respiratory allergies: pippali with turmeric is good. For skin allergic conditions: turmeric, neem, amlaki and triphala with honey is good.

Practical Panchkarma - A workbook manual, written by Dr. Prerak Shah, for all panchkarma Therapists and Massage therapists is expected to publish in August. This will be a first of its kind practical manual in easy English, with lots of practical tips and photos of each therapy. The manual is also designed as a teaching / course material for Panchkarma Training. Translation of this workbook in Spanish, Portuguese, and German languages are under consideration. Inquiries from publishers for Spanish, Portuguese, and German translated version are welcome.
